Evolution Mining – Mt Carlton Gold Mine
JEI are the preferred electrical and instrumentation contractor to Evolution Mining’s, Mt Carlton Gold Mine. JEI typically perform all the sites Electrical projects and provide any labour required to complete quarterly shutdowns or maintenance shift coverage as top up labour for their permanent staff.
In the past 3 years, JEI has successfully completed in excess of $1.3M in electrical works without any lost time safety incidents. The most recent project was the E&I works for the sites new Gold Room project. This project was bid and won by JEI as a fixed price, lump sum contract. The client was impressed by the timeframe the work could be completed to meet the projects delivery goal. JEI ramped up site resources and completed over 1600 man-hours in 4weeks to have the project to be commissioned on time.
The works undertaken consisted of:
- Installation of cable ladder, conduits and site earthing system
- Install and terminate electrical and instrumentation equipment (Motors, Vendor Skids, Instrumentation, Lighting, General Power)
- Carry out process and compressed air tubing for instrumentation and valves.
- Carry out all loop checks and commissioning.
